Viscose and nylon jersey fabric is a versatile and popular textile known for its exceptional comfort, fluid drape, and resilience. This blended fabric combines the best attributes of both synthetic and semi-synthetic fibres, creating a material that is both luxurious and practical.
- Stretch and Recovery: The jersey knit construction, combined with the inherent elasticity of nylon, provides excellent two-way or four-way stretch. This means the fabric stretches well both horizontally and vertically. The nylon component also ensures the fabric has great recovery, meaning it snaps back into shape after stretching and resists bagging or sagging, especially at stress points like knees or elbows.
- Durability and Strength: Nylon is known for its strength and abrasion resistance, so its inclusion in the blend significantly enhances the fabric's durability. This makes the jersey less prone to tearing or pilling compared to 100% viscose jersey.
- Breathability: Viscose is a very breathable fibre, which helps the fabric feel cool and comfortable against the skin, especially in warmer weather.
- Softness and Drape: The high content of viscose gives the fabric a remarkably soft, silky feel and a beautiful, flowing drape. This makes it ideal for garments that need to move and hang gracefully on the body.
