Virgin wool is a premium, highly sought-after textile known for its exceptional softness, strength, and warmth. Unlike recycled or repurposed wool, virgin wool represents the fiber in its purest, most untouched state.
- First Spin: Wool that has been spun into yarn for the very first time. It has never been used, woven, or processed into a finished product before.
- First Shear: The wool taken from a lamb’s very first shearing. This fleece is famously the softest and finest the sheep will ever produce.
- Exceptional Softness: Especially when sourced from a lamb's first shear, virgin wool is incredibly smooth and soft against the skin, avoiding the "itchy" feeling often associated with lower-quality or heavily processed wools.
- Superior Durability: Because the natural fibers are unbroken and undamaged, virgin wool is exceptionally strong. Garments made from it resist pilling, tearing, and general wear-and-tear, often lasting for decades.
