Soft tulle is the most delicate, fluid, and romantic variation of netting. While stiff tulle and medium-weight couture tulle are engineered to defy gravity and hold a shape, soft tulle surrenders completely to it. It is prized for its exquisite drape, creating ethereal, liquid-like silhouettes that flow gracefully over the body rather than standing away from it.

• The "Liquid" Drape: Soft tulle has almost no structural memory. If you gather it, it will hang straight down in a soft, clinging column rather than puffing outward.
• Texture: It lacks the heavy sizing or resins applied to stiffer nets. As a result, it is incredibly smooth, silky, and non-irritating. It can be worn directly against bare skin without any need for a protective lining.
• Fragility: The trade-off for its incredible softness is a lack of tensile strength. Soft tulle—particularly silk tulle—is highly susceptible to tearing, stretching out of shape, and snagging on jewelry or rough surfaces. It cannot support heavy, dense beadwork like a medium-weight couture tulle can.

• Microscopic Weave: The hexagonal grid in soft tulle is typically much finer and tighter than in stiffer varieties. From a distance, the mesh structure is almost invisible, appearing instead as a sheer, continuous mist.
