Metallic dupion is a striking, highly textured fabric that marries the classic, organic appearance of traditional dupion with the glamorous shimmer of metallic fibers or finishes. It is celebrated for its unique visual contrast, combining a crisp, slightly rough surface with a brilliant, light-catching sheen.

• Brilliant Metallic Sheen: Metallic dupion incorporates shimmering threads—such as Lurex or metallic-coated synthetics—woven directly into the fabric, or it utilizes a metallic foil finish. This elevates the fabric, giving it a luminous, iridescent, or liquid-metal appearance.
• Crisp and Structural Drape: Like heavy taffeta, dupion has a stiff, crisp hand feel. It does not drape fluidly; instead, it holds its shape beautifully, making it ideal for tailored or voluminous designs.
